The cooperation between EREPS and Fitness First started officially in November 2008. The collaboration already sets benchmarks for the new Fitness First Club in Berlin-Zehlendorf. The Black label Club, known as the most modern in Europe, has opened with 21 EREPS registered personal trainers (some of them are shown holding their EREPS certificates).

The name of Fitness First is well-known and they have made a commitment to sign-up all of their instructors and personal trainers across Europe as a major drive to improve standards and consumer awareness of the need to only use qualified and fully trained exercise professionals. Fitness First have more than 200 clubs in Europe and they are joined by other leading chains of clubs in supporting EREPS. These include SATS in Scandinavia, Health City in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, David Lloyd Leisure and Holmes Place in Portugal, Spain and their clubs across Central Europe.

The EREPS office in Brussels has a large map of Europe and already there are lots of pins showing where members are located. These operators are joined by a growing number of approved training providers who make sure that their graduates are automatically enrolled onto EREPS – it is a good way for them to publicise that they offer approved qualifications that meet all international standards. EREPS offers a free search through its website to locate these training providers.
