Internationally – the first comparisons

We already have members in 18 different European countries and states which is quite a remarkable achievement in itself. The countries with the largest membership of EREPS (at the moment) are Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. Here are two comparisons – the very first international information on exercise professionals ever produced:

The first shows the comparison of full and provisional members.

The second shows the gender make-up of current membership. Just why are there so many more men working as exercise professionals than women? In the UK it is roughly 50/50 men/women instructors – and does this reflect more closely the mix of our customers?

This type of information can be used to inform operators, governments, training providers and suppliers and we think it is also important for exercise professionals to begin to feel that they are part of a much bigger picture.

The European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPS) is owned by the European Health & Fitness Association (EHFA).
